East Coast Language Camp (ECLC) offers 2, 4 and 6-week
English adventure camps for kids, teens and adults in
scenic Nova Scotia- a seaside province known for its
undiscovered natural beauty. We’re not surprised
if you have never heard of Nova Scotia. We consider
our province to be Canada’s best-kept secret.
ECLC is located two hours outside the capital city of
Halifax, giving students the opportunity to leave the
stress of city living behind. Classrooms, dining hall
and residences are all conveniently located minutes
apart
ECLC Program
East Coast offers 3 hours per day of English as a Second
Language instruction. The ESL instructors are fully-qualified
and experienced in leading dynamic and energetic classes.
An appropriate curriculum is taught in small classes
of 12-15 students. The curriculum is designed to complement
our afternoon and weekend social program making learning
more relevant and meaningful.
ECLC Facilities
East Coast Language Camp combines the best of camp living.
The beauty of the campus and surrounding area can be
seen from their modern and comfortable dormitories,
classrooms and dining hall. A picturesque ocean view
is never far away.ECLC students stay in semi-private
rooms with full bath. 24-hour supervision allows parents
to feel confident that their children are well-supervised
at all times.
The dining hall offers three meals a day with a variety
of menu choices for all food tastes.
Emergency services are 10 minutes away so parents can
have peace of mind knowing their child is in a safe
and caring environment.

Nova Scotia International
Student Program:
* The following programs are all operated under
the supervision of the government of Nova Scotia.
SUMMER ESL PROGRAM:
Offering students a unique and exciting 4 week program
designed to immerse students in an all English environment
with students from all over the world. Classes
run from Monday to Friday for 3 hours and students are
given the opportunity to work on both verbal, and written
skills. Students will also have the opportunity
to take part in a number of sporting, social and cultural
activities such as beach volleyball, softball, swimming,
soccer and so on.
The ESL camp is held on a local university campus located
in the small, quiet and safe community of Truro.
Campus facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sports
facilities, outdoor recreation space, dining facilities,
and much more. Students will live in a supervised
environment with their roommate right on campus.
Fees include:
Airport pickup, 3hours/day ESL lessons, 3 meals per
day plus accommodation, activities and excursions, medical
insurance, and swimming pass

ADVENTURE ESL PROGRAM:
The Nova Scotia International Student Program in Partnership
with the Nova Scotia Sea School offers one of the most
exciting youth adventure camps anywhere in Canada.
A 4 week program. students will spend the first 3 living
on a university campus located in the small, quiet and
safe community of Truro with other students from around
the world. Students will attend all ESL classes
and take part in activities as planned by the camp staff.
On the 4th week students will be taken to Lunenburg,
Nova Scotia (UNESCO, world heritage site) and board
a 28 foot sail boat and begin their week long adventure
exploring the sea, traveling to uninhabited islands,
whale watching and much much more.

THE ULTIMATE ESL SCIENCE PROGRAM:
The Nova Scotia International Student Program in Partnership
with the Nova Scotia Agricultural College offers students
an ESL program with a scientific twist. The camp
combines learning English as a Second Language with
learning how science affects many parts of our daily
lives. Students will spend the first 2 weeks of the
class participating in the regular ESL summer camps.
Students will attend ESL classes 5 days a week and take
part in regular camp activities. For weeks 3 and
4 students will attend normal ESL classes in the morning
and spend the afternoons on campus conducting experiments
with scientists.
Truro:
A small town of 32000 people located in the center of
Nova Scotia and a short drive from many activities and
attractions. Only a 1 hour drive from the capital
city of Halifax, and 45 minutes from the Halifax International
Airport, Truro is the perfect environment for study
and recreation. Far from traffic jammed streets
and pollution the town provides a fresh clean environment
where students can learn well and play safely.

International
Gateway Kelowna (IGK):
Kelowna, British Columbia
Vacation Program for Ages 8 to
19 - Individuals or Groups
This is their most popular action camp and combines
morning lessons and seasonal afternoon and weekend activities
catering to the younger learner. Students are placed
in carefully selected homestays and have the option
of daily transportation to and from school. This program
is offered weekly in June, July, August, September,
January, February or March for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks. A
variety of full or part time study and accommodation
options are available for accompanying parents
ESL+ High
School Experience for Ages 11-16
This program features morning ESL classes at IGK combined
with afternoon classes in Physical Education, Drama,
Music and Art at a local high school. Starting weekly
in October, November, December, January, February, March,
April and May for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks.
Other exciting youth camps offered at IGK:
ESL + Ice Hockey Skills Camp for Ages 8 and
up. Select dates in July and August for 1,
2 or 3 weeks.
ESL + Soccer Skills Camp for Ages 8-17.
Select dates in July and August for 1 or 2 weeks.
ESL + Teen Adventure Camp (rafting,
rock-climbing, kayaking, fishing, mountain biking) for
Ages 14-17. Select dates in July and August for 2 weeks.
ESL + Western Skills and Horseback Riding for
Ages 10-17. Select dates in July and August
for 2 weeks.

VISA Language Institute:
Ottawa, Ontario
VISA Language Institute organizes fun and educational
Summer Youth English Programs and Tours every summer
for youth ages 10-18. The campus youth programs are
offered at facilities provided by the University of
Ottawa. This 3
or 4 week program for beginner to advanced students
provides 20 lesson/week and is supervised 24hours/day
(except during free periods).
VISA Language Institute Youth Camp: The
innovative ESL cultural programs provide a unique
environment designed to challenge students, increase English
conversation skills and learn about Canada in fun and
creative ways. This program is intended for children
and teens with no prior experience as independent travelers,
and whose parents require a higher level of supervision.
CANADA YOUTH EXPLORERS is
an "all inclusive" English Immersion Course
and Homestay Program designed for mature
teens aged 14-18 who want to study in a challenging
program that offers an ideal mix of academics, independence,
cultural activities, tours and trips. This is a 3 or
4 week program that provides 15 lessons per week and
is suitable for beginner to advanced students. |
