The name Ontario comes from the native Indian word ‘Kanadario’ which means “sparkling water” a suitable name considering 4 of the 5 great lakes are in Ontario and that 1/6th of its terrain is covered by rivers and lakes.  Canada’s most populated province, and home to the government of Canada; Ontario is the engine that drives the Canadian economy.  Canada’s largest city and the capital of Ontario is Toronto.
